When the construction of their new Cancer Center required them to remove the shade trees around the MercyOne Child Development Center playground, the team decided it was the perfect opportunity to update the playground with new equipment and shade structures.
With the Cancer Center complete in June 2020 and the shade structures completed earlier this spring, the MercyOne Team is excited that the children will be able to utilize their outdoor learning experiences/playtime to maximum capacity and will not be over exposed to the sun. "We are so grateful for the support from Outrun the Rays'. The addition of our cancer center will provide state-of-the-art treatment for our community and because of the construction of this wonderful facility, we had to make some adjustments to our Child Development play area. The shade structure will protect this amazing group of children and make outdoor play safe and comfortable for years to come." - David Moore, Development Director MercyOne Dubuque If you know of an organization that could benefit from our grant program, check out our Grant Program page! |
