As part of our melanoma and sun safety awareness, education, and prevention efforts, Outrun the Rays awards grants to organizations in Eastern Iowa and surrounding areas looking to enhance their sun safety measures. While we have typically awarded funds to projects for shade structures for use in public areas such as schools, ball-fields, and parks, we are interested in supporting any project that increases sun safety and awareness.
